Actually, here’s the first photo I posted of myself.
But here I am! The mystery is gone now.
My name is Melanie, but you are all welcome to call me Mel.
I’m 21 years old and a junior in college. Melociraptor was a nickname given to me by one of my wonderful roommates. My mother is also part dinosaur. I was born in Brooklyn, NY (go Yankees and Jets!), but I moved down to Orlando, FL when I was a youngin. So, go Magic I guess (I dont really watch NBA). But mostly, yay Disney World and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! And sunshine! :P And hurricanes…
I was a competitive dancer until I was about 13, and then I dedicated most of my time to lacrosse and school. I still love dance and try to hit classes whenever I can, but I definitely wont be touching lacrosse for a long while.
You’ll actually probably see me talking to some of roommates on here because obviously parading our business around here on tumblr makes more sense than texting and walking the 15 ft distance between our rooms.
We go to Harvard. I usually just say “around Boston” when asked lol. I get embarrassed easily, but it’s pretty cool I guess (seriously once you’re actually part of Harvard, it loses it’s “magic” or whatever). And before you start analyzing all my grammar mistakes and ridiculous comments…You should know that if you learn ONE lesson at Harvard, it’s that you’re really fucking ordinary. But I love it here. It’s a truly amazing feeling being a student here, and I’ve met some of my best friends in the world.
We’re not all pretentious douchebags. We spend far too much time on tumblr, get wasted and dance on tables (my “beer pong distractor pelvic thrust/boob shimmy” is legendary), and post stupid shit on tumblr (well, I can’t speak for my roomies there, but my tumblr is just a ridiculous pile of shit most of the time and I dont know why you all follow me).
Also Fuck Glee with a rake. Though this is still always a Santana Lopez/Naya Rivera Appreciation blog.
Other current shows I love are Parks and Rec, Modern Family. Community, Archer, FNL, Misfits, and SYTYCD. You’ll also see some Buffy, other Whedon shows, Veronica Mars, That 70s show, Seinfeld, and more.
And then I just mostly just reblog whatever random silly crap crosses my dashboard or post whatever errant thoughts cross my mind that amuse me.
Um…I’m trying to think about what other things people would want to know. My favorite band of all time is Incubus. I also fucking love Gaga and totally enjoy pop music because it makes me wanna get up and dance. But I know it’s shitty. I’m mostly into 90s alternative rock. And the pop/r&B/Jazz/soul genre that Amy Winehouse, Adele, Duffy belong to (and of course, they’d be nothing without Dusty Springfield). Actually, I go through phases. I’m sort of in an 80s phase right now with MJ and Prince. Music really really sucks today.

Thank you all for following me! I really apologize for the stuff you have to endure…I know some of you will follow me for a specific post or character or show and then have to endure all the other crap I post. So sorry about that.
Oh, and I mean, most of tumblr is sarcastic, so I’m not some special little snowflake who prides herself on her dry wit. But do know that I’m joking most of the time, so please dont ever be offended by anything I say or if I’m being obnoxious. I may pretend to be all badass and bitchy, but I’m really kind of a softie to be honest lol. I promise.
