dratij replied to your post: Fuming that the first Rachel/Santana duet is being intercut with Blaine/Sebastian scenes and dialogue.
WHAT?! Well this totally makes my decision on if I should listen early or not. I should have known glee would do everything they could to mess it up.
Yup. The whole song is paralleling the “WARNING SIGN” of Sebastian’s pursuit of Blaine.
Yup. My first Pezberry duet. Goes to Blaine and a random Warbler chasing him.
If there is a GOD, they will at least show Rachel/Santana performing during the “Very smart, Maria, very smart!” part. Because chills.
And of course, the completely and utter bastardization of America’s staging is about the most ludicrous thing they’ve ever done.
Please, someone, tell me how the JETS are going to be singing at Anita about how the Puerto Ricans are discriminated against and America is only great if you’re white?
It’s like they tried to combine Gym Mambo with America to get the dance-off in, but IT. DOESN’T. WORK.
Apparently Naya killed the dancing though, so I’m beyond excited. She has to go up against Harry/Hemo and she apparently held her own.
That awkward moment when a hired “pretty face” turns out to be a triple threat.
Whatever, Lea and Naya sound fantastic. I didn’t know Naya could do bway and Lea’s I Have a Love is FLAWLESS. And their harmonies sound great at the end.
They can ruin WSS all they want, but I just needed proof that Lea/Naya sound great together so that they’ll give them a better duet later with better context to their characters.
